Winters Plein Air Festival

Creating art out in the open air!

The Winters Plein Air Festival starts March 25th!

Winters Plein Air Festival: March 25 – April 30, 2011
Local farms throughout our region have invited festival artists to capture the pastoral beauty of the farm. Exploring the variety of colors and textures where an amazing diversity of wines and organic vegetables, herbs, nuts, flowers, and fruits are produced will provide a bountiful harvest for the eye as well as the brush.

Free roaming chickens will become subjects in paintings created at Soul Food Farm. Portraits of pigs will be painted at Full Belly Farm, windbreaks and the golden rolling hills dominate the landscape at Good Humus Farm. Terra Firma Farm provides a kaleidoscope of colorful rows. River Dog Farm is the home to free roaming pigs, chickens, and an iconic barn. Berryessa Gap Vineyards and Red Bud Ranch provide verdant rows of vineyards and breathtaking views.

In conjunction with Roots to Wine Cooperative, the week culminates with Wine and Art in the Park on Saturday, April 2nd from 11am-4pm at Rotary Park in Winters, CA. In addition to the event on the 2nd many of the wineries will also be hosting artists and events throughout the week leading up to the tasting event.  Exhibits of art created during the festival will be shown at:  Briggs & Co Festival Headquarters, Turkovich Family Wines, Berryessa Gap, The Winters Visitors Center April 2-30 2011
